Collaboration with research groups from different universities is important to create and provide state-of-the-art innovative quantitative mass spectrometry and proteomics tools. If you belong to a research group where you and your team focus on developing your own algorithms and analysis methods, then don't hesitate to contact us to start a collaboration.
MedicWave collaborates with several research groups from Europe, USA and Canada, some of which are presented here.
Our collaboration with Prof. Roman Zubarev started in 2007. The software PAS containing the four unique software tools named GS4FTMS (golden and complementary pair extraction), DeNoS (de novo sequencing of peptides), PhosTShunter (detection of phosphorylated peptides) and ModifiComb (detection of all types of peptide modification) are being developed in collaboration with Prof. Roman Zubarev (the inventor of these tools) and his team. The software makes benefit of using both CAD and ECD fragmentation approaches.
Prof. Roman Zubarev was awarded the Biemann Medal in 2007 for his discovery and development of electron capture dissociation (ECD) in Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FTICR-MS). ECD affords a new strategy for sequencing biological molecules and has already had a tremendous impact on proteomics since its initial discovery in 1998. Roman’s landmark contribution has been universally recognized by the scientific community in the whole world.
The cooperation with these universities started in 2009. In cooperation with:
we are developing the LEQuant module for analyzing LC-MS data. This module is based on the OpenMS software for proteomics.
The collaboration started in 2009. Together with the team of Prof. Kaj Blennow we are working on the ImmunoPrecipitation module for MALDI (IPM).
