MedicWave is a Swedish software company that develops cutting-edge tools for quantitative analysis of mass spectrometry data. Our products mainly focus on proteomic and metabolic biomarker discovery.

MedicWave was founded in 2005. However, the people behind the company have been working in statistics and software development since the 90's. The company gathers a group of enthusiasts in the fields of bioinformatics, statistics, proteomics, and biomedical engineering.

Our goal is to develop easy-to-use software that exploits various statistical methods to the user’s advantage. We are working on providing a set of tools which will satisfy bioinformatics experts, who additionally want to be able to process their data using their own methods. But we also want to meet the needs of regular users, who do not want to involve themselves in any programming.

Since the very beginning we have been collaborating with many scientists to recognize their expectations. We were not only concerned about developing a tool which they would find easy-to-use, but also about meeting their needs and implementing methods which would bring them closer to achieving their scientific goals. We taught ourselves to think and act in a very flexible way, and we quickly adopted new ideas and used them in our work. Thanks to many fruitful collaborations, we have become specialists in software customization. As a result our software tools provide all the features that commercial MS software usually contain, plus a lot of unique tools and methods which are very useful from a scientific point of view.

But we don’t consider our task completed. We are still working and will continue to do so, in order to be able to give you state-of-the-art products that are compatible with new MS machines and to keep up with all top standards. Our software packages are constantly evolving to become more valuable and better adjusted to your needs.
